Fully respect the right to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly by reviewing the laws, policies and programmes that regulate civil society and by amending or repealing any laws that allow the State to use force against peaceful demonstrators, arbitrarily detain protestors, restrict civil space and arbitrarily shut down the activities of civil society organizations.
