In line with theme of "Building a Smarter Fiji", the Government has announced a number of initiatives ensuring the youth of Fiji access to tertiary education , one of which is a low interest loan to any Fijian student who is accepted at any of the tertiary institutions in Fiji. The Tertiary Education Loan Scheme (TELS) covers the cost of tuition and will not be repaid until after a student has graduated and entered employment.
