Permit Omani women to pass their nationality to their children and spouses on an equal basis with men

Review current legislation and reform as necessary all discriminatory provisions, including regarding rights in marriage, divorce and inheritance, and the right of women to confer their nationality on their children and spouses

Amend legislation so as to allow Omani women to pass on their citizenship to their children

Provide comprehensive protection of human rights to foreign workers regardless of their category under national legislation and encourage cooperation with countries of origin with a human rights-based approach

Continue taking measures to strengthen the legal protection available to foreign workers, including the introduction of a wage protection system

Continue to strengthen efforts to prevent and combat abuse of migrant domestic workers in the country by ensuring full implementation of international and domestic laws

Continue improving the protection of labour rights, in particular regarding foreign and domestic workers, by ratifying and implementing the International Labour Organization Domestic Workers Convention, 2011 (No. 189)

Intensify efforts at the national level for the protection of the rights of workers

Continue efforts to promote and protect the rights of expatriate workers

Continue efforts to enhance the working conditions of expatriate workers

Revise the kafalah system to reduce the risk of migrant workers being subject to labour exploitation

Replace the kafalah system in order to improve conditions for migrant workers and reform existing labour laws to include domestic workers

Continue efforts to introduce further measures to protect the rights of migrant workers, in particular women migrant workers, including strengthening measures for their social and legal protection

Provide labour law protection for domestic workers and strengthen anti-trafficking legislation
