Promote and increase efforts for women’s participation in political life and decision-making at all levels

Implement measures to strengthen universal access to health services, including reproductive health

Consider establishing a national human rights institution in accordance with the Paris Principles

Fast-track the issuance of newly proposed laws such as the child rights law, and the laws regulating centres and institutions for disabled persons

Accede to the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and the 1967 Protocol

Consider favourably acceding to the international treaties, to which it is not yet party

Seek the support of the Group of Friends of the Convention against Torture Initiative for technical assistance in the implementation of measures aimed at preventing and investigating reports of torture in the prisons system

Continue its efforts towards national reconciliation and strengthen the National Human Rights Commission in conformity with the Paris Principles

Put in place a national policy for protection and assistance for street children and persons with albinism

Seek to effectively combat child labour by means of, inter alia, enforcing compulsory education, as stipulated in national policies

Continue fighting harmful traditional practices, including female genital mutilation

Continue efforts to combat all forms of violence against women, in particular female genital mutilation

Ensure the strict enforcement of the laws prohibiting early marriage

Continue strengthening the capacity of government institutions on human rights and the application of a human rights-based approach

Continue to seek technical assistance from the international community in line with recommendation 12 in the OHCHR assessment mission report

Further cooperate with the conventional mechanisms of the United Nations and of the African Union
